KUROSAKI GROUP

ABOUT US
We are a group for energy materials science, focusing on nuclear fuels/materials and thermoelectric materials. We aim to improve the safety and economics of nuclear reactors by evaluating the basic physical properties of nuclear fuels/materials such as uranium dioxide and zirconium alloys. We also aim to realize thermoelectric power generation utilized for exhaust heat recovery system in automobiles and energy harvesting system that generates power with a slight temperature difference by developing new highly-effective thermoelectric materials.

We are working on “Materials Informatics”, which is an integrated area of information science and materials science. We welcome graduate students. To become a student of this group, you need to take the entrance examination of the Socio-Environmental Energy Science Department, Graduate School of Energy Science, Kyoto University.
