       Noriko Fujii, Ph. D

Noriko Fujii received her Ph.D from Tokyo Medical and Dental University. She performed her graduate work at the Tsukuba University and Takeda corporation. She was selected as a Principal Investigator of SAKIGAKE strategy in Japan, and joined the faculty at Kyoto Univercity in 2002. Noriko’s aim of research is “Erucidation of mystery in the Homochirarity (L-amino acid only) in life and introduction of the concept for Parachirarity (Both L- and D-amino acids) in life"

Associate Professor

    Takumi Takata, Ph. D

Takumi Takata, an associate professor, joined the Noriko Fujii lab since 2016. He perfomred his graduate work in the previous Fujii lab of Kyoto University. After getting Ph.D, he performed postdoctoral training with Kirsten Lampi at the Oregon Health & Science University and Jonathan King at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States. Takumi studies the "D-amino acid residues in non-native protein, leading age-related diseases."

Post-Doctoral researcher

  Ingu Kim, Ph. D

Ingu Kim, a postdoctoral fellow, joined the lab in 2006. Ingu studies about "the effect of gamma ray irradiation on the protein modification and aggregation mechanisms."
